Mandatory Entry Pass & other Covid regulations
From Sunday 28th November, all restaurants & bars, non-essential shops and tourist venues such as museums and zoos must close at 5PM. Essential shops are open until 8pm. A valid Coronavirus Entry Pass, presented alongside personal ID, is mandatory to access all restaurants and bars (including our hotel outlets for all meal periods), public transport & cultural venues in the city. Dom Tower

The ultimate symbol of the city of Utrecht is the Dom Tower. With a height of 112 meters and 465 steps, this is the highest church tower in the Netherlands. As one of the big names within the art movement “De Stijl”, Gerrit Rietveld is proudly remembered in the city of Utrecht. From 1923-1924 he designed the Rietveld Schröderhuis, fully executed according to the concepts of “De Stijl” with elements of black lines with surfaces and objects in primary colours appealing to the imagination. Rietveld designed the house for Truus Schröder-Schräder, who lived there until her death. The house has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000.

SCALA Theatre

SCALA Theatre is a temporary theatre that is being realized at Jaarbeurs Utrecht. The perfect outing for families, couples and friends during these uncertain times. The theatre meets all requirements to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Scala theater has 129 boxes placed one above the other in three floors. Each box is allowed to seat a maximum of 4 people. From your box you can easily order drinks and snacks that are brought to you.

Beatrix Theatre

The most famous entertainment theatre in Utrecht – and perhaps in the country – is the Beatrix Theatre. Known for the many successful musicals such as The Bodyguard and Mamma Mia! In addition to musicals, it is also a great place for concerts, cabaret and art.

Utrecht Central Station

The largest train station in the Netherlands can be found in Utrecht. The station has undergone a major renovation in recent years and will take you to key places such as Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport, Rotterdam or Den Bosch in no time.

Catharijneconvent Museum

Museum Catharijneconvent is still a neglected spot, but very worthwhile. Utrecht has a long Christian history and this museum shows a lot of its heritage. The monastery building contains medieval masterpieces, a treasure room, 17th century paintings and several relics.

Hoog Catharijne Shopping Mall

Hoog Catharijne shopping mall is the largest shopping mall in our country, located in Utrecht, between the old city centre and Central Station. With more than 110 shops and 30 restaurants, and extended opening hours, this is the place for a day of shopping.



For the city trippers who can’t get enough, or simply want to combine a visit to Utrecht with another city, Amsterdam is a real outing. In just 25 minutes you’ll find yourself in the heart of Amsterdam. Take a city walk through the canals and Dam Square, visit the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum and relax with a drink on Leidseplein.

Slot Zuylen


Slot Zuylen is only half an hour away from Utrecht, located just outside the city. A beautiful 13th century castle on the Vecht, this is where you can walk and learn about the rich family history in which women as writer Belle van Zuylen play a prominent role.
