Dom Tower

Rietveld-Schröderhuis

As one of the big names within the art movement “De Stijl”, Gerrit Rietveld is proudly remembered in the city of Utrecht. From 1923-1924 he designed the Rietveld Schröderhuis, fully executed according to the concepts of “De Stijl” with elements of black lines with surfaces and objects in primary colours appealing to the imagination. Rietveld designed the house for Truus Schröder-Schräder, who lived there until her death. The house has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000.

Amsterdam

Hoog Catharijne shopping mall is the largest shopping mall in our country, located in Utrecht, between the old city centre and Central Station. With more than 110 shops and 30 restaurants, and extended opening hours, this is the place for a day of shopping.

Slot Zuylen

Slot Zuylen is only half an hour away from Utrecht, located just outside the city. A beautiful 13th century castle on the Vecht, this is where you can walk and learn about the rich family history in which women as writer Belle van Zuylen play a prominent role.
